2 Way Messaging
mNatives makes extending your messaging capabilities with two-way SMS simple.
mNatives provide this facility to all users. The Two-way SMS feature works using a 'Keyword' as identifier of your messages. The Keyword can be up to 7 characters. Keyword can be the abbreviated form of your "Brand Name" or "Company Name" or any relevant word as per your requirement.
mNatives supports following types of response for the keyword configured:
  • Forwarding with Static Response: Here a response received for a keyword is forwarded to mNatives? customer?s URL and an Static response is configured which is send back to the subscriber.
  • Response from URL: The response is forwarded to the mNatives? customer?s URL and the subscriber is sent the response received from the URL. The most significant example is of knowing the balance of your account. E.g. if bal is the keyword received, the same is forwarded to the Bank?s exposed URL and the balance received from the Bank?s database is forwarded to the subscriber.
  • Simple Message response: here static response is set against a keyword which is forwarded to the subscriber on every received.
  • Simple URL Forwarding: Here no static message is set; the hit for a keyword is send directly to the URL exposed by the mNatives? customer.

Shortcode
SMS Short codes are 5 digit numbers, to which mobile users can send text messages, regardless of their telecom service provider and get the desired response in the matter of seconds. They are easier to remember, handy and integrated across all telecom operators to provide a seamless short code service experience to all the users across India.
SMS Short codes have started playing a vital role in the most traditional media-Print, Outdoor, TV & even Radio. As the ads in these media channels will include a Call to Action to have consumers send a text message to a SMS short code for sending their enquiry or request for information; marketers/advertisers are increasingly using our services in most of their ad campaigns.
Not only Marketers, but many of the Application developers have started opting for short codes for launching interactive SMS services for their customers, employees or any target audience. These services range from Information-on-Demand, Subscription service, SMS based Trivia or Games, SMS Contests, Opinion Polls and SMS Voting Services.
mNatives provides both shared and dedicated short code.
The difference lies in on keyword to be configured on shared short code, we need to check its availability and the keyword needs to be created at ACL's end. On dedicated short code, the customer can create its own keyword and also define alias to it, the availability of keyword is no concern on dedicated short code.
Complete mNatives Pull platform is based on multiple nodes and have facility to run multiple instances of every node.
mNatives Pull Platform is completely based on suffix modal i.e. for any short code or short code with suffix there should be some application to process that request and after processing that application return back the response message to Pull Platform for sending back to customer.
Short codes are widely used for value-added services such as television voting, ordering ringtones, charity donations and mobile services. They are used in various campaigns. Messages sent to short code numbers are generally billed at a higher rate than a standard SMS.

Longcode/Virtual number:
A Longcode or virtual number is a normal mobile number used exclusively for receiving messages from mobile devices. Messages can be sent from any international mobile networks, and is received over the net using our web interface or can be downloaded in realtime by an application using SMPP, unlike short codes that can only receive from a local geographical area within the operator/s footprint. long codes or virtual numbers can receive messages from devices worldwide.These are typically used to establish a two way communication channel between a SMS application or a user and the mobile audience allowing for delivery of information on demand SMS services delivering Text Unicode or Binary messages.
The uniqueness about Virtual Numbers is that all SMS messages sent to are billed at standard SMS rates thereby encouraging widespread use of the same.
